VF JEDI RETURNS TOPS NIGHT TWO OF HERITAGE PLACE FUTURITY TRIALS AT REMINGTON PARK

OKLAHOMA CITY -- May 12, 2018 – Aqua Flash broke quickly but inward during her Friday night trial for the Heritage Place Futurity. However, the gray filly was too much for a less than perfect start to hold her back as she flew over 350 yards to post the top qualifying time of the evening at Remington Park.

The Grade 1, $1,024,840 Heritage Place Futurity final will be held on Saturday, June 2 at Remington Park. The event is the richest horse race in Oklahoma.

Owned by Thomas Scheckel of Bellevue, Iowa and trained by Shawna Manriquez, Aqua Flash won the fifth of 11 trials on Friday, by an eye-opening 1-3/4 lengths. She crossed the finish in :17.582 over a fast track with Tanner Thedford in the saddle. The top qualifying time of the evening was over a quarter of a second faster than the next best time.

Aqua Flash remains undefeated with her trial score. She broke her maiden in her career debut here on April 19, winning that race by one length. Aqua Flash is by First Moonflash from the First Down Dash mare Aquafina. She was bred in Utah by McColee Land & Livestock.

The five qualifiers from Friday trials for the Heritage Place Futurity, with their individual time and trial number, are:
